The Brief

The build needed to meet strict programme timelines while maintaining a clean, professional finish suitable for a large-scale healthcare development.
Challenges
Large commercial developments always present complexities, and this project was no exception. One of the primary challenges was working with the specified concrete brick during winter conditions. Concrete brick requires careful handling in colder weather to achieve a consistent, high-quality finish. To maintain standards across the elevations, we adapted our working methods and reviewed sections the following morning where necessary to ensure the desired finish was achieved.
Seasonal weather conditions also impacted productivity at various stages, requiring flexible scheduling and careful sequencing to keep the programme moving forward. In addition, the site itself was tight, meaning organised material deliveries and efficient coordination with other trades were essential to maintain progress.
Through proactive planning, experience and strong site management, all challenges were successfully managed while maintaining quality and programme requirements.

Outcome
